Berber people are indigenous to North Africa occupying regions stretching from the Atlantic Ocean to the Mediterranean Sea. They speak the Berber language belonging to the Afroasiatic family. There are about 25–30 million Berber speakers in North Africa today with the majority found in Libya, Algeria, and Morocco. The majority of the population in North Africa is also believed to be Berber in origin. Berbers are not entirely a homogeneous ethnicity but include a wide range of societies. Berber language, heritage, and history are considered the major unifying factors of the Berber people. More on the Berbers

Ivan Pili, concert musician, composer and visual artist, born in Cagliari in 1976, graduated in civil engineering. From an early age he showed his artistic skills in design. He discovered his innate propensity for music entirely by accident. In the years 1991 to 1994 he devoted himself to the study of musical genres popular in Europe and at the age of sixteen he begins to earn the title of International artist with his first concerts around Europe. In 1994 he won the diatonic accordion world titl. He took part in several performances as concert soloist in prestigious theaters.

At the end of 2014 he resumed his artistic pictorial path interrupted with the advent of his musical carreer. His first subjects referred to the figurative, evoking their life scenes and aiming to a “commom” public. This was the beginning of a new experimental phase, the beginning of 2016 to perfect hyperrealism, “not photo”, but going beyond “the photograph”. More on Ivan Pili
