Daniel Enkaoua, French, b. 1962, an artist known for his dedication to the art of observation, has consistently explored figures, still life, and landscapes throughout his career. His work is characterized by a captivating blur that invites viewers to ponder the essence of his subjects. Enkaoua’s paintings, set against infinite backgrounds, transcend specific context and time, offering a timeless and universally resonant quality, thus responding both to impressionism and expressionism, classic and contemporary art.

Enkaoua has lived in Jerusalem from1982 and until 2004, where he gained his artistic education in Bezalel, Academy of Arts and Design and Avni Art Institute. Currently he lives and works in Barcelona, Spain.

Enkaoua has been the recipient of various awards including the BP Portrait Award 2010, National Portrait Gallery, London, and the Prix Société des Bains de Mer, Monte Carlo, Monaco. More on Daniel Enkaoua
