Eric David Kroll (born October 23, 1946 in New York City) is a fetish photographer and book editor who has lived in New York, San Francisco, and Los Angeles. He is currently living in Tucson, Arizona. He earned a BA in Cultural Anthropology from the University of Colorado, Boulder, in 1969.
A freelance photojournalist for eleven years, he was a “specials” photographer for Paul Schrader’s Columbia Pictures film Hardcore (1978) and was an adjunct lecturer at Hunter College in New York City (1976). In 1973–75 he was assistant professor of photography at Antioch College, Baltimore, Maryland. Kroll owned and operated One Loose Eye Gallery of Photography in Taos, New Mexico, in 1969–70.
Kroll has also published some collections, composed introductions for influential works such as the compiled two-volume “Bizarre” collection and some Taschen folios. More on Eric David Kroll
